June 27, 2024  |  Looking for ‘lost’ species of birds, scientists combed through 40+ million images—including 33+ million photos from the Macaulay Library at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. They identified 144 bird species from around the world that haven't been recorded in the past 10 years.
